SIFFFT PROJECT

Funded by

Sustainable Financial Foundations For Turbines (SIFFFT) initiative  was officially launched at our annual "Energy Transition" Conference Summer 2023, having been assigned £1.5 million from the West of England Combined Authority's Green Recovery Fund.

BEN with the SIFFFT project delivery team will oversee the development of these projects from their initial high-risk phases, including planning, negotiating contracts, and navigating grid connection, right through to construction, into operation, and supporting the transfer of ownership of completed project to the local community.

Through this initiative, we're collaborating with communities interested in owning and benefitting from onshore wind turbines. The SIFFFT model has been developed by Community Power Solutions Ltd. building on their experience developing the  www.ambitioncommunityenergy.org onshore wind turbine installed this year, with funding by the West of England Combined Authority.

What sets this approach apart is our commitment to community empowerment. Unlike corporate-owned projects where benefits primarily flow to a private company, the SIFFFT model ensures that the tangible advantages and profits generated are solely for community benefit.
